Europe's fastest runner over the 25 laps of the track, Great Britain's Mo Farah, and Inès Monteiro of Portugal took the individual honours, while a number of top continental stars booked their place for the European Athletics Championships to be held in Barcelona between 26 July and 1 August.

Listen to what the reigning European champion in 10000m, from Göteborg, Jan Fitschen of Germany has to say about his plans for defending his title in Barcelona. French Marathon record holder Christelle Daunay earned her qualification for the 10000m race in Barcelona after clocking 32:02.04 for the fifth place and she might be someone who might cause an upset at the Europeans next month.
