A capacity crowd at the Olympic Stadium enjoys the women's 800m final on the 4th day of the 20th European Athletics Championships in Barcelona on Friday evening.

The Barcelona 2010 Organising Committee confirmed that 35,890 spectators watched the action unfold at the Olympic Stadium on the fourth day of the 20th edition of the European Athletics Championships on Friday.

With a capacity of 32,000 set for the championships, media and VIPs boosted the number, with the line-up of finals exciting the crowd on a balmy summer evening in Barcelona.

With more than 28,000 spectators attending on Wednesday evening, walk-up ticket sales have been brisk during the week. Attendance is expected to remain high for the remaining two days of the championships.
