European Athletics Championships/SPAR European Team Championships media accreditation process

Attention: open in a new window. PrintE-mail

The online media accreditation process for the 2010 European Athletics Championships in Barcelona, Spain, is now open.

The deadline for written press and photographer applications is 31 May 2010.

The 20th European Athletics Championships runs through July 27 to 1 August 2010 in Barcelona, Spain.

In consultation with the AIPS (Association Internationale de la Presse Sportive) and the Local Organising Committee in Barcelona, European Athletics has fixed the country quotas for written press and photographers.

Each European Athletics Member Federation has been sent a number of unique usernames and passwords for the Online Registration and Accreditation System (ORAS) according to the country quotas and has been requested to distribute these to written press and photographers in consultation with its national association of sports journalists.

In order to request a username and password for the online media accreditation procedure for the 20th European Athletics Championships, European media (written press and photographers) should contact the national athletics federation in their country.

Please note that each username and password can be used for only one application.

When provided with a username and password, the concerned media will be sent further information on the accreditation process by their national athletics federation. The link from which journalists can enter the online accreditation system ORAS is https://www.oras.ch/events/barcelona.

Journalists provided with a username and password can also book hotel accommodation through ORAS, with a deadline to do this of 31 March 2010.  Details of the media hotels are available on ORAS.

Media from outside Europe or representing international news agencies (AFP, AP, Reuters) should contact European Athletics Communication Manager James Mulligan at media@european-athletics.org.

Telecommunications
Written press and photographers requiring specialist telecommunications during the event will be able to complete a telecommunications form, which includes full details of the services available and the rate card, within the ORAS system.

Broadcast rights holders (TV and Radio)
TV and radio rights holders will receive a unique username and password from the Local Organising Committee/Host Broadcaster which they can use to access ORAS.

Broadcast non-rights holders (TV and Radio)
Non-rights holders can apply for a username and password at: https://www.oras.ch/events/barcelona
