Denizli-Pamukkale 2012 countdown begins as website opens
The countdown to the 2012 European Mountain Running Championships in Denizli-Pamukkale has begun with the opening of the official championships website.
The Turkish Athletic Federation (TAF) will host the event, in co-operation with the city of Denizli in the district of Pamukkale, on 7 July 2012.
Turkey boasts an impressive tradition in mountain running. The country's most famous mountain runner is Ahmet Arslan. He can lay claim to being the continent's best ever mountain specialist after winning his fifth straight European title in July on home soil in Bursa-Uludag.
The event website will provide all the latest news, photos, results, timetables and other stories from now through to the event.
