Great Britain have finalised their team for the upcoming European Off Road Running Championships taking place in Annecy, France on 31 May-2 June with full teams for the mountain running disciplines, along with a full quota of trail runners confirmed last month.

Bronze medallist in the women’s up and down race two years ago, Scout Adkin leads the way in the senior women’s team.

Also returning for another medal tilt following her success in El Paso, Spain in 2022 is Eve Whittaker. She was the silver medallist in the women’s U20 up and down race two years ago.

Among the men’s selections, Joe Steward is a leading contender and placed eighth at last year’s  World Mountain Running and Trail Championships in Innsbruck, Austria.

Team Leader Anne Buckley said, “Alongside our already selected trail athletes, we are taking a really competitive squad to France to take on the rest of Europe.

“Not only do we have several experienced internationals in the team, but it is fantastic to see talented new athletes earning their place in the Great Britain and Northern Ireland squad.”
