<h2>European 10,000m Cup</h2>
The European 10,000m Cup dates from 1997 when it was held under its initial title of the European 10,000m Challenge.&nbsp;
Notable names on the roll-of-honour at the Cup include Spain's Jose Manuel Martinez (2004 and 2009), Great Britain's Mo Farah (2010) and Italians Daniele Meucci (2016) and Yemaneberhan Crippa (2019, 2023) on the men&rsquo;s side and multiple winners Fernanda Ribeiro from Portugal (1998 and 2003), fellow Portuguese runner Sara Moreira (2011, 2012 and 2017) and Great Britain's Paula Radcliffe (1999 and 2001) among the women.
At the 2023 edition in Pac&eacute;, Yemaneberhan Crippa powered to his second European 10,000m Cup title and while Alina Reh upgraded her individual silver to gold in the women's race. Israel won their first ever team title in the men's race while Reh led Germany to back-to-back team titles in the women's race.
The European 10,000m Cup in 2024, originally foreseen to take place in Pac&eacute;/FRA on 11 May 2024 will not be staged as a stand-alone event. Instead, owing to the early position on next year&rsquo;s calendar of the Roma 2024 European Athletics Championships, European Athletics has added 10,000m B finals to its programme for Rome.
This will give European distance runners further opportunities to compete in the event. Member Federations will be encouraged to add additional 10,000m runners to the teams travelling to the championships. Technical details concerning the Roma 2024 European Athletics Championships will be released shortly.

The men&rsquo;s entry-list is headed by reigning European 10,000m champion Yemaneberhan Crippa from Italy who will be seeking his second individual title after triumphing at the 2019 European 10,000m Cup in London.
Crippa has yet to contest a 10,000m since winning gold at the 2022 European Athletics Championships in Munich but the Italian holds the fastest lifetime best of the 58 entrants at 27:10.76.
The fastest entrant based on season&rsquo;s bests is Germany&rsquo;s Nils Voigt with 27:30.01, one of four athletes to have broken the 28 minute-barrier in 2023.
Also watch out for a strong Spanish contingent which includes Carlos Mayo who has finished third and second individually at the last two editions of the European 10,000m Cup. Mayo has the second fastest lifetime best in the field with 27:25.00.
The fastest entrant based on lifetime bests in the women&rsquo;s race is Germany&rsquo;s Alina Reh who finished second individually last year and led Germany to their first ever women&rsquo;s team title at the European 10,000m Cup.
The German team also includes national 10,000m champion Domenika Mayer and Eva Dieterich, both of whom were also part of Germany&rsquo;s gold medal-winning team in Pac&eacute; last year.&nbsp;

The European 10,000m Cup will also be streamed live through the <a href="https://www.youtube.com/EuropeanAthletics" target="_blank" rel="noopener">European Athletics YouTube channel</a> from 6.15pm local time on 3 June and there will also be comprehensive race day coverage on the European Athletics website and across the European Athletics social media channels.&nbsp;

Two-time European cross country bronze medallist Alina Reh is among the standout names on Germany&rsquo;s team for the European 10,000m Cup in Pac&eacute; on 3 June.
Reh finished second individually in last year&rsquo;s European 10,000m Cup which took place in Pac&eacute; and also led Germany to their first ever team title in the women&rsquo;s race.&nbsp;
The team also features Domenika Mayer and Eva Dieterich who were also part of Germany&rsquo;s title-winning team last year. More recently, they finished first and second respectively at the German 10,000m Championships with lifetime bests of 32:14.34&nbsp; and 32:17.75.&nbsp;

The men&rsquo;s team is headed by Nils Voigt who recently moved to second on the German all-time list with a lifetime best of 27:30.01.
