Province of Gelderland

Gelderland is a fantastic province when it comes to sports. For example the Giro d’Italia started here in 2016 and the Track Cycling World Championships were also organised in Gelderland . The province has fantastic sports venues, with the National Olympic Training Center Papendal as the absolute highlight.

Gelderland has a lot to offer in terms of nature, history, culture and sports, among other things. There is plenty of activity in Gelderland all year round. A large number have a link to healthy movement, such as the Nijmegen Four Days Marches, the Zevenheuvelenloop and the Airborne Walking Tour.

Gelderland is the largest province in the Netherlands. The province holds 51 municipalities and is the most popular inland holiday destination among the Dutch. And foreign tourists, from nearby Germany and further away, are also discovering Gelderland more and more.
