Inside European Athletics

Let's move people together!

We can help you to achieve your city's objectives through European Athletics events. Explore here which event could best help you move your people.

European Athletics has currently a programme of 11 different sporting events (Championships and Cups) and two corporate events (Congress and Convention) that represent 38 single events over a period of four years, all available for cities and Member Federations to host.

From a European Athletics Championships with a full programme of stadium and out-of-stadium disciplines to smaller scale discipline-specific events or age group championships, from an Indoor to a Cross Country Championships, there are extensive opportunities for cities to select an international athletics event to host that relates to their goals, dimension and resources.

Event bidding is the first stage for bringing one of the European Athletics events to a city in any of our Member Federations’ countries and our manual (which you can download here) From Bidding to Hosting provides you with further information on the overall process about how to become a host for a European Athletics Event.

We are pleased to introduce here the European Athletics Events portfolio at a glance but our team can guide you to evaluate the most suitable type of event for your city and Member Federation.
