The European Athletics Council has awarded the 2024 SPAR European Cross Country Championships to Antalya in Türkiye on Saturday (12).
This will be the first time in event history that Türkiye will have staged the championships which are scheduled to take place on 8 December 2024.
Türkiye has an excellent record in the recent history of the championships. Yasemin Can won four successive senior women’s titles between 2016 and 2019 and their athletes also swept the senior men’s titles between 2014 and 2017.
The 2022 and 2023 editions will be held in Piemonte-La Mandria Park near Turin in Italy and Brussels, Belgium respectively.
