The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) came into force across Europe in May 2018.
This is a challenge for the sport: we need to build athlete databases and exchange data between them at many levels but we need to be compliant with the data protection regulations.
We are addressing this issue by publishing our data protection paper (see the consent form under RELATED DOCUMENTS). We hope this data protection paper can also be used by Member Federations, their clubs and their race organisers to obtain the consent from their athletes when they are signing in or renewing their membership.
Member Federations are welcome to contact us to obtain this consent form in Word format, to be used at the national level.
