More than 1400 volunteers are required to contribute to the success and the running of the Paris 2020 European Athletics Championships by filling a broad spectrum of roles both before and during the championships from 25-30 August.
Prospective applicants can apply to volunteer by following this link and filling out the form. The form is in French and please note that intermediate French is a mandatory requirement.
There will be a distinct pan-continental theme as the volunteer programme for the Paris 2020 European Athletics Championships is actively supported by Erasmus+ in the context of their European Volunteer and Active Citizen Programme which combines sports with civic commitment.
“We wanted to create, lead and promote a community of volunteers before, during and after the European Athletics Championships in order to offer a real European heritage to this event,” said Jean Gracia, the President of the Local Organising Committee.
“We want to make this sporting event a festive and unifying event. Being part of Paris 2020 as a volunteer is an opportunity to collectively build a major sporting competition but also to meet people from different backgrounds who share common values.
“It is this feeling of belonging to a community that contributes to the European influence that we wish to extend in the long term,” added Gracia.
The deadline to register online to become a volunteer is 15 March.
