Home

It has been a fabulous year of athletics for the Czech Republic, led by the brilliant domination of World champion and Diamond race winner Zuzana Hejnova in the 400m hurdles.

But on Saturday it will be the chance for their under-20s to shine when Brno, the second largest city in the country, hosts Group A of the junior's European Champions Clubs' Cup.

The women will be represented by the home club, AK Olymp Brno, who were promoted to Group A after winning in Leiria last year, while the Czech men will be in the form of ASK Slavia Praha.

Five hundred athletes will be in action with Shaftesbury Barnet Harries, the defending champions from Great Britain, back in a bid to retain their men's title.

Praha and Shaftesbury will face Fenerbache Sport Club (TUR), Playas de Castellon (ESP), Mass (SLO), Nike (LTU), Tampereen Pyrinto (FIN) - the 2012 Group B winners - and SG Stavbar Nitra (SVK).
