Defending senior men’s champion Yann Schrub has been named in the France team for the SPAR European Cross Country Championships in Antalya, Türkiye on Sunday 8 December.
The 28-year-old became the first French athlete to win the senior men’s title at this event in Brussels 2023. He also won 10,000m silver at this summer's Roma 2024 European Athletics Championships.
Schrub is part of a strong French team which also includes reigning European 3000m steeplechase champion Alexis Miellet who anchored France to mixed relay gold last year.
He is joined in the team by Jade Le Corre, who won bronze in the women’s U20 race last year and returns for another medal bid in the age group.
France won the mixed relay event twelve months ago in Brussels, but the only returning member of their triumphant quartet is Antoine Senard.
