European Athletics would like to announce the candidates for the positions of President, Vice Presidents and Council Members of European Athletics, who will be elected at the forthcoming Congress for a four-year term until 2027.
The elections will take place on Saturday 22 April with the candidates having the opportunity to make a presentation to support their candidature the previous day. A booklet with each candidate's curriculum vitae can be found here.
European Athletics would like to highlight Article 17, point 6 of its Constitution which states:
Elections shall be conducted in compliance with the relevant provisions of the procedural regulations for the conduct of Congresses and the following gender balance principles:
a) The President and the vice-presidents shall include both genders as follows: - at least two of each gender; and
b) The thirteen other Council members shall include both genders as follows: - at least five of each gender.
