European Athletics has pleasure in announcing on Thursday (9) that it has signed Würth MODYF as an Official Partner of the Munich 2022 European Athletics Championships.
Würth MODYF will be a partner in the category of ‘workwear’ and as a top-tier Official Partner the company will benefit from core marketing rights that include world-wide product category exclusivity, brand exposure in marketing and social media campaigns, exposure on Eurovision’s pan-European free-to-air broadcast coverage and European Athletics live streaming of the Munich 2022 European Athletics Championships, track perimeter LED advertising, digital rights, digital exposure via European Athletics communications channels, ticketing, and VIP hospitality.
“I am very pleased that European Athletics and Würth MODYF will be working together before and during the Munich 2022 European Athletics Championships, which is the most important athletics competition in Europe and the showpiece of our events portfolio," commented European Athletics President Dobromir Karamarinov.
"As a very successful German company, I am sure Würth MODYF will get considerable benefits from their involvement with this competition and we warmly welcome their decision to become an Official Partner," he added.
“Being able to conclude a third partnership agreement in just a few weeks shows the value of European Athletics’ competitions and proves that commercial partners see great value in being involved in our sport. The involvement of Würth MODYF with European Athletics will certainly enhance the Munich 2022 European Athletics Championships in many ways,” said European Athletics CEO Christian Milz.
“We are fans of sports and top performance, be it on the grass, in the snow or on sports hall floors, which is why we are looking forward to fair competitions and new records in Munich. But above all, we are fans of the heroes in the background who make sports in all their glory possible: the master tradespeople. We want to equip them with the best workwear. Würth MODYF is the brand for passionate tradespeople, masters behind the scenes and fans,” said Melanie Röger, Chairwoman of the Management Board of Würth MODYF Group.
This agreement was brokered on behalf of European Athletics by Infront Germany.
The first companies of Würth MODYF Group were founded in Künzelsau, Germany, and Neumarkt, Italy, in 1997 as an independent subsidiary of the Würth Group and can thus look back on more than 25 years of experience in the field of workwear and safety footwear.
Würth MODYF Group currently operates companies in seven countries and has more than 400 employees in Germany, France, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland. Smaller sales units support Würth MODYF’s customers in Austria, the Netherlands and Belgium. Würth MODYF Group is continuing to expand internationally, opening new branches all over Europe
