Italy has selected a team of 39 athletes for the Apeldoorn 2025 European Athletics Indoor Championships from 6-9 March.
Italy topped the medal table at the Roma 2024 European Athletics Championships and their team for Apeldoorn 2025 features gold medal winners Leonardo Fabbri and Lorenzo Simonelli in the shot put and 60m hurdles respectively along with Mattia Furlani and Larissa Iapichino who both won silver medals in the long jump.
Their team also features reigning European indoor champions Samuele Ceccarelli (60m) and Leonardo Fabbri (shot put) along with world indoor 60m bronze medallist Zaynab Dosso.
Other medal candidates include Andrea Dallavalle and Andy Diaz in the men’s triple jump and Roberta Bruni and Elisa Molinarolo in the women’s pole vault.
