The final entries for the Jerusalem 2022 European Athletics U18 Championships from 4-7 July have been published and are available to view in pdf format.
The entry-list for the third edition of the championships features no fewer than 17 athletes who lead the 2022 world U18 list in their respective events.
Some of the standout names on the entry-list include Serbia’s Angelina Topic who holds the world age-16 high jump best of 1.95m and Italy’s Mattia Furlani who jumped 7.87m and 2.16m in the long jump and high jump respectively at the Italian U18 Championships last weekend.
Brina Likar, who has jumped a world U18 leading mark of 6.54m this season, will be in contention to win Slovenia’s first ever gold medal at the European Athletics U18 Championships in the long jump.
Meanwhile, Croatia has excellent prospects of winning their first gold medals in championship history through Jana Koscak who leads the world U18 heptathlon list with 5829 points and Roko Farkas, the fastest sprinter in Europe at U18 level this year with 10.44 in the 100m.
It could also be an excellent championships for Cyprus who could win a double in the hammer. Iosif Kesidis and Valentina Savva lead the world U18 list in the men’s and women’s hammer with 84.05m and 71.46m respectively.
