Reigning European indoor champions Jason Joseph, Reetta Hurske, Samuele Ceccarelli and Miltiadis Tentoglou have been confirmed for the Meeting de Paris Indoor, a World Athletics Indoor Tour Silver meeting, which takes place on 11 February.
Joseph, who won at this meeting last year in 7.48, will face two of France’s finest sprint hurdles exponents in Wilhem Belocian and Pascal Martinot-Lagarde - also two of his predecessors as European indoor champion in 2021 and 2015 respectively - in the 60m hurdles.
Hurske - who became the first ever Finnish woman to win a European indoor title in any discipline last year in Istanbul - takes on French favourite Laeticia Bapte in the women’s 60m hurdles.
Last year’s breakthrough sprinter Ceccarelli, who upset Olympic and European 100m champion and Italian teammate Marcell Jacobs for the European indoor title in Istanbul, will go head-to-head with Great Britain’s Reece Prescod in the men’s 60m while European indoor silver medallist Daryll Neita competes in the women’s 60m.
Reigning European indoor and outdoor champion Tentoglou - who will be targeting a hat-trick of outdoor continental crowns in Rome this June - takes on France’s European bronze medallist Jules Pommery in the men’s long jump while European indoor silver medallist Larissa Iapichino from Italy has been announced for the women’s long jump.
