Poland will be sending a team of 81 athletes to the Munich 2022 European Athletics Championships from 15-21 August which forms part of the wider multi-sport European Championships from 11-21 August.

The Polish team includes four reigning individual champions from Berlin 2018 in Justyna Swiety-Ersetic (400m), Paulina Guba and Michal Haratyk (shot put) and Wojciech Nowicki (hammer) along with reigning five-time world champion Pawel Fajdek.

After winning silver medals in the 20km and 35km race walk events at the World Athletics Championships, Katarzyna Zdzieblo will be focusing solely on the 20km race walk in Munich.

Other medal contenders include European silver medallist Sofia Ennaoui in the 1500m, recent sub-50 second performer Natalia Kaczmarek in the 400m, European U23 record-holder Pia Skaryszewska in the 100m hurdles and world fourth-placer Adrianna Sulek in the heptathlon.

Poland enjoyed their most successful campaign at the 2018 European Athletics Championships in Berlin where they won seven gold medals and finished a close second on the medal table to Great Britain & NI.
