European Athletics has awarded the 2015 European Cup Combined Events Super League to the French city of Aubagne.
The decision was confirmed during the European Athletics Council meeting in Chantilly which was held from 31 October to 2 November.
The Super League will be held simultaneously with the European Cup Combined Events First and Second Leagues on 4-5 July 2015.
The French hosts will attempt to take back the title they claimed in 2013 and will face defending champions Russia, Netherlands, Belarus, Estonia, Great Britain, Czech Republic and Ukraine during the two-day event where the last two teams will be relegated to the following year's First League.
Four athletes are allowed to compete in the men’s decathlon and women’s heptathlon.
The scores of each athlete from the same country will be added together to create a total score, with the lowest men and women’s score being deducted from the total.
Medals will also be awarded in the individual competitions.
Last year, the Netherlands' Nadine Broersen took the heptathlon crown having led after the opening day with the decathlon title being won by her teammate Eelco Sintnicolaas.
But even winning both competitions, the Dutch could not stop the might of the Russians who left as the overall championships as their superb consistency brought brilliant rewards. In fact, they did not have an athlete in the final top three of either yet still took the team title.
