Double Olympic relay medallist Alex Haydock-Wilson won the men’s 400m at the World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold meeting in Astana, Kazakhstan on Saturday (25).
The British athlete, who ran in the bronze medal winning quartets in both the mixed and men’s 4x400m in Paris, won in 46.45, holding off Portugal’s Ericsson Tavares in 46.92.
Elsewhere, Slovenia’s Neja Filipič, fifth at the Istanbul 2023 European Athletics Indoor Championships, won the women’s triple jump with 14.05m and Danish record holder Kristian Uldbjerg Hansen won the men’s 1500m in 3:39:03.
Sweden’s twice European indoor medallist Fanny Roos was second in the women’s shot put with a best effort of 18.32m in a competition won by world champion Chase Jackson from the United States with 19.13m.
Four-times European indoor finalist Nooralotta Neziri of Finland was second in the women’s 60m hurdles in 8.10, 0.05 behind Japan’s Yumi Tanaka.
