  • Kaknjo takes over as President of the Athletic Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina

At the recent Assembly of the Athletic Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Suad Kaknjo took over the function of President of the federation and will carry out his duty over the next 16 months.

According to the federation's Constitution, three persons share one 4-year Presidential term of office, each rotating after 16 months.

The first President was Djurdjica Sisul whose term has now come to an end. She will now serve as first Vice-President and Nedjo Djurovic as second Vice-President.

Suad Kaknjo has been involved in athletics for the major part of his life, first as an athlete and then later as President of his AK Zenica club before joining the Bosnian federation.

Under his leadership AK Zenica has become the most renowned athletics club in the country. Thanks to his hard work and enthusiasm, the club is able to provide good working conditions for its athletes, despite the difficult financial situation in the country.

We hope that his rich experience in sport and his love for athletics will help him to be successful as President of the federation.
