Once more, Konstanze Klosterhalfen demonstrated what an incredible talent she is and what an amazing future she has after taking control of the 1500m with just over 800m metres left to win brilliantly.
The German is still only 20 and now she has a gold medal in 2017 to go with the silver medal she won behind Laura Muir at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Belgrade in March.
Klosterhalfen sat with the pack but with just over two laps left, she decided it was her time as she broke away with only Poland's Sofia Ennaoui going in chase after her. Twelve months after winning the bronze medal over 3000m on this track at the World U20 Championships, Klosterhalfen was not going to let anything stop her taking gold this time.
For someone still in the early part of her international career, Klosterhalfen has such an aura and it will now be interesting to see how the German, who has already broken the four minute-barrier at this distance twice this summer, fares at the World Championships in London next month.
Klosterhalfen won in 4:10.30 and it was a Polish silver and bronze as Ennaoui finished second in 4:13.54 and Martyna Galant was third in 4:17.91.

'I am so happy,' said Klosterhalfen, who covered the last 800 metres in under 2:02. 'The atmosphere here is great, I love the blue colour of the track but during the race I couldn't look around me because if I did, I could be second. I just ran and wanted to be faster.'
Can does the double again
Yasemin Can obliterated the 5000m championship record as she made it double gold once more at a major European event.
A year on from winning the 5000m and 10,000m titles at the European Athletics Championships in Amsterdam, the Turk added to her 10,000m victory. She took the race on less 30 seconds after the gun fired and she quickly established a lead from a chase pack of three athletes: Germany's Alina Reh, Can's teammate Emine Hatun Tuna and Sweden's Sarah Lahti, who won silver in the 10,000m.

And while her winning margin wasn’t quite as sizeable as it was in the 10,000m final, Can never ceded her lead and won in 15:01.67 to smash Elvan Abeylegesse's championship record of 15:16.79 which was set on this track in 2003.
Reh, the double European U20 champion in 2015, came through for second in a personal best of 15:10.57 from Lahti in bronze in a season's best of 15:14.17.
Chiappinelli and Kramer take track gold
Italy's European U20 champion Yohanes Chiappinelli came back to the track where he was fifth at last year's World U20s to win a glorious gold in the 3000m steeplechase – and he is only 19.
But age never mattered as Chiappinelli beat his older rivals with a wonderful run to lead an Italian one-two. He triumphed in 8:34.33 from Ahmed Abdelwahed in 8:37.02 with Great Britain's Jamaine Coleman third in 8:40.44.
In the men's 800m, Sweden's Andreas Kramer led at the bell and he just held on for gold in one of the best finishes of the championships.
Kramer had established a five metre advantage as he looked to pull clear down the home straight but Britain's Daniel Rowden went in pursuit.
They were so close as the line came, with Kramer winning by the smallest of margins, in 1:48.15, from Rowden in 1:48.16, and Germany's Marc Reuther third in 1:48.66.

Hoffman and Lara lead the sprint for glory
Germany's Daniel Hoffmann dipped just enough to defeat Britain's individual 100m gold medallist Ojie Edoburun and win the 4x100m relay for his nation.
Hoffman was last man in the quartet of Roger Gurski, Kai Kollmann and Philipp Trutenat with the first two teams having the same time of 39.11 with Finland third with 39.70.
Cristina Lara brilliantly held off her rivals in a thrilling home straight battle in the women's 4x100m relay to lead Spain to gold in 43.96 from France in 44.06 and Switzerland in 44.07.
A Spanish team of Paula Sevilla, Ane Petrirena and Lara Gomez handed on to Lara who dug as deep as she could to beat France's Amandine Brossier and Switzerland's Ajla Del Ponte, who ran 43.98 in the heats.
