The first speakers for the European Horizontal Jumps and Sprint Symposium in Karlstad, Sweden on 15-17 November have been confirmed.

The European Horizontal Jumps and Sprint Symposium is the second of four events on the 2019 European Athletics Coaching Summit Series and prospective attendees can book their place here.

The line-up includes one of Sweden’s finest coaches Yannick Tregaro who coached Christian Olsson to gold medals in the triple jump at the Olympic Games, World Championships and European Championships. Tregaro also used to coach world indoor high jump record-holder Kajsa Bergqvist and in more recent years Tregaro has also coached long jumpers Michel Torneus and Thobias Montler, the reigning European indoor silver medallist.

Another renowned long jump coach who is confirmed to attend is Goran Obradovic, the long-time coach of reigning world and European indoor champion Ivana Spanovic. Obradovic is also the coach of European indoor bronze medallist Strahinja Jovancevic.

The line-up of speakers also includes world renowned coach Dan Pfaff and Hakan Andersson, a long-time coach on the Swedish national team and an advisor and lecturer at the High Performance Centre in Vaxjo.

This will be the third year in a row that Sweden has hosted an event which is part of the Coaching Summit Series. The European Discus and Hammer Conference took part in Vaxjo last year while the European Horizontal Jumps and Hurdles Symposium was held in Falun in 2017.

The Symposium will be conducted in English and the deadline for registration is 13 October. Click here for more information.
