Live streaming of the Simplyhealth Great Edinburgh XCountry, a European Athletics Cross Country Permit Meeting, will be available on the European Athletics website from 1415-1615 CET on Saturday 13 January.

The service is available to watch at www.european-athletics.org and on the European Athletics YouTube channel.

All the races will be streamed live and the live streaming service is available to viewers around the world.

Team Europe, whose squads include Türkiye's 2017 European cross country champions Kaan Kigen Ozbilen.and Yasemin Can will do battle with Great Britain and the USA in four scoring races in the Scottish capital’s Holyrood Park: the women’s U20 4km, men’s U20 6km, senior women’s 6km and senior men’s 8km.

The overall winning team will be determined by the best aggregate finishing positions of the six best placed athletes in the senior category, as well as the four best placed athletes in the junior races.

The Great Edinburgh XCountry will also have a non-scoring International Mixed Relay, a race which follows on from the success of the inaugural mixed relay at the 2017 SPAR European Cross Country Championships.

Teams of four (two men and two women) will compete in a 4x1km relay with European cross country championships bronze medallists Spain representing Team Europe and dueling again with Samorin gold medallists Great Britain. The British team this time includes the double European indoor gold medallist from Belgrade last March, Laura Muir.
