The voting process is made up of four parts and the three finalists in all four categories, men's and women's European Athlete of the Year and men's and women's Rising Star, will be announced on 8-9 October.

The winners will be announced and presented with their trophies at the Golden Tracks award ceremony which takes place in Skopje, North Macedonia on 26 October and will be streamed live through the European Athletics YouTube channel.
Last year's European Athletes of the Year were Norway's Jakob Ingebrigtsen and Femke Bol from the Netherlands, both of whom were also crowned European Athletes of the Year in 2022, while Serbia's Angelina Topic and Italy's Mattia Furlani were named Rising Stars.
