The countdown is almost complete for the Silesia 2023 European Athletics Team Championships which starts on Tuesday (20), with the Old Continent’s most important team competition held as part of the third European Games.
For the third time in a row, Poland is the host, and, for the first time ever, all three divisions will converge on the same location, the Śląski Stadium (Silesian Stadium).
As well as the European Athletics Team Championships, the stadium will host a Diamond League meeting next month and is also set to be the main venue for the 2028 European Athletics Championships.
Fittingly, the stadium also comes fully equipped with top-quality equipment from a Polish manufacturer – Polanik.
In total, it takes around 1500 different pieces of equipment to run a complete athletics event and Polanik’s versatile range of products means it will be ever-present around the field of play at the Śląski Stadium this week, from throwing cages and landing areas, to high jump and pole vault stands, hurdles, electronics and markers.
