Russia's SC Moscow claimed an expected double victory in the top league of the European Champion Clubs Cup for Juniors in Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia last weekend.

Despite cold and rainy weather the Women of Moscow were clear winners, 119 points ahead of Czech club Olymp Brno (96) and Turkish Enka Spor Kulubu (93). The men's results were closer, with just three points separating champions SC Moscow (98) and Spain's Playas de Castellon (95) with Britain's Enfield Haringey club finishing third (89).

Bosnia and Hercegovina (Sloboda Tehnograd) and Slovenia (Kronos Ljubljana) are the unlucky boy's teams now facing relegation for next years competition, while in the girls competition squads from Great Britain (Bromley AC) and Germany (Olympia Dortmund) will loose their chance to compete against the best in the world.

World Junior 110m Hurdles Champion Konstantin Shabanov won his event in 14.04 (-0.5), while other top Russian wins came in the Hammer from Denis Lukyanov (71.93m) and Shot put by Aleksandr Bulanov (19.41).

Britain's Aaron Trim clocked 47.56 over the 400m and Czech Vaclav Zich (who was running for the Spanish Club Playas de Castellon) won both sprints against the wind (10.80 and 21.41).

In the women's events, there was a Slovenian double sprint win by Alja Sitar (12.38 and 24.76), and home Javelin favorite Tatjana Jelaca dominated her event with her 51.46m throw. Turkish 800m runner Merve Aydin claimed another individual win (2:12.29) and Russian jumps favourites Natalya Mamlina and Yekaterina Kolesova both cleared 3.60m
