Who will be crowned European Athletes of the Year and Rising Stars for 2024?
We will find out one week today at the Golden Tracks award night, which this yeatakes place in Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia on Saturday (26) night.
The Golden Tracks award night starts at 2000 local time (CEST) and will be streamed live of the European Athletics YouTube channel when the winners will be announced and presented with their trophies!
All six European Athlete of the Year nominees won gold medals at both the European Athletics Championships and Olympic Games, making this year’s short-lists arguably the strongest in the history of the award which was handed out for the first time in 1993 when Great Britain's Linford Christie and Sally Gunnell won the trophies.
Past European Athletes of the Year include the likes of Femke Bol and Jakob Ingebrigtsen, both of whom are in contention for further honours at this year’s Golden Tracks award night.
Will both athletes win for a third year in succession this year in Skopje or will someone else come away with the silverware this year?
