Members of the European Athletics Young Leaders Community have registered 7,427 hours of volunteer work for athletics in the first six months of 2015, an average of more than 40 per day, according to a report published on the Community’s website.

As of 30 June, the Community had donated a total of 66,781 hours to events or coaching or other projects since 2011. More than 10,000 hours have been registered by members from Spain and Norway respectively.

The report gives a positive evaluation of the first six months but sets an ambitious target of double the hours achieved so far for the second half of the year.
