The sixth of this summer's European Athletics Outdoor Premium Meetings took place in the French city of Reims on Wednesday and, with many European athletes still catching their breath after last week's European Athletics Championships, visiting Cuban athletes took the plaudits.

The French Pro Athle Tour meeting highlight was an effort of 75.59m in the women's hammer by Cuba's former world champion Yipsi Moreno. Second was Poland's Joanna Fiodorow with 72.71m.

Another Cuban win went to pole vaulter Yarisley Silva with 4.60m. Germany's 2010 European Athletics silver medallist Silke Spiegelburg was second with the same height but had more failures while British record holder Holly Bleasdale was third with 4.55m.
Cuban men took both the hurdles events with Omar Cisneros winning the 400m hurdles in 48.93 and Orlando Ortega taking the honours in the 110m hurdles in a time of 13.29.

There was a French win in the rarely-contested 5000m walk with two-time European Athletics Championships 50km gold medallist Yohann Diniz winning in 18:47.45 while Türkiye's Ercument Olgundeniz, a disappointing 10th in Helsinki, won the discus with 62.52m.

There was also a good mark in the women's triple jump from Colombia's Katerina Ibarguen, who bounded out to 14.58m. France's Francoise Mbango, eighth in Helsinki, was second with 14.21m.
