European Athletics is delighted to be back in Greece for the 2015 European Athletics Team Championships First League in Heraklion held from 20-21 June.

Located on the beautiful island of Crete, Heraklion is the fourth biggest city in Greece and is known for being a top touristic destination.
The Pankrition stadium located by the sea, hosted part of the football tournament during the 2004 Athens Olympic Games and is currently the home ground of Greek Superleague football team Ergotelis.
More than 600 athletes from 12 countries will be competing for points as the host nation Greece will face Belgium, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Switzerland and Türkiye during the two-day event, where the top three finishing teams will earn a promotion to the following year's Super League and the bottom three relegated to the Second League.
