An extensive and expanded calendar of 45 World Athletics Indoor Tour Silver, Bronze and Challenger meetings are due to take place across Europe next winter.
The focus of the indoor season is the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Istanbul from 2-5 March and 43 of those meetings will be held in the build-up to the championships, giving athletes access to high quality competition to obtain qualifying standards and ranking points as well as prize money.
The calendar of 45 World Athletics Indoor Tour Silver, Bronze and Challenger spans 16 countries, beginning on 21 January with the Jablonec Indoor 2023 meeting and culminating on 11 March with the Perche Elite Tour Rouen. France is the country staging the most number of events with 11 followed by Germany (7), Czech Republic (6) and Sweden (4).

As well as the 45 Silver, Bronze and Challenger meetings - all of which are administered by European Athletics - the European calendar also includes six World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold meetings beginning with Karlsruhe on 27 January. A designated window for national indoor championships has also been set aside for the weekend of 18-19 February.
Some of last year’s World Athletics Continental Tour Silver and Bronze highlights included Sweden’s Armand Duplantis clearing his first world record of the season in Belgrade where he scaled 6.19m at the Serbian Open Indoor Meeting.
Fellow Olympic champion Marcell Jacobs from Italy took notable 60m victories in Berlin and Lodz en route to his triumph at the World Athletics Indoor Championships where he broke the European record with 6.41 and Poland’s Ewa Swoboda also launched her comeback with a popular victory in Lodz, clocking 7.04 in the heats and 7.00 in the final.
