A total of 220 athletes, 139 men and 81 women, representing 27 Member Federations have been entered for the 11th European Cup Race Walking to be held in Murcia on 17 May.
The majority of athletes that placed well at the European Athletics Championships in Zurich last summer are back for more this time in Murcia.
It will be an interesting battle in the men's 20km between both European champions from Zurich, Spain's Miguel Angel Lopez over 20km and world record holder over 50km, Yohann Diniz of France.
On women's side it will be a rematch between the podium finishers in Zurich, with Elmira Alembekova, Lyudmila Olyanovska and Anezka Drahotova all aiming for gold.
