Erins' score would have been enough to win the First League and finish fifth in the Super League, claiming a well deserved promotion for his team. Second overall performer was Switzerland's David Gervasi (7726) and third was Austrian Roland Schwarzl who failed to achieve the Olympic standard with his 7690 finishing score.
Slovakia's overnight leader Slaven Dizdarevic finished fifth with a personal best score of 7547.
Switzerland will join Latvia in the First League next year after finishing in second place. In the women's competition there were only three teams competing, which meant a clear promotion for Spain (16,719) and Latvia (15,600).
Spain´s score was enough for a sixth place finish in both the Super League and First League.
Latvia's Aige Grabuste was the best individual performer with 5974 points, finishing ahead of two Spanish athletes Maria Peinado (5724) and Cristina Barcena (5520 PB).
