Both days of the 2024 European Throwing Cup in Leiria, Portugal from 9-10 March will be streamed live through the European Athletics website and on the European Athletics YouTube channel.

  • Day one - from 9.45am local time (10.45am CET)
  • Day two - from 9.15am local time (10.15am CET) 

The live stream will be accompanied by expert English-language commentary and if you missed anything or want to re-watch the best of the action, highlights from both days of competition will be published on our YouTube channel.

Live results will be available through the European Athletics website and there will also be extensive coverage of both days across European Athletics’ social media channels as well as editorial coverage on the European Athletics website.

Who to watch and when to watch?

Prospective highlights include the men’s javelin (3.25pm on Sunday) which features recent 90 metre-plus thrower Max Dehning up against his more illustrious German teammate Johannes Vetter who set the championship record of 92.70m on this track in 2018.

The men’s shot put (4.00pm on Sunday) is expected to be a head-to-head between Italians Zane Weir and Leonardo Fabbri while the women’s javelin (2.00pm on Saturday) features European champion and silver medallists Elina Tzengko and Adriana Vilagos against Poland’s Olympic silver medallist Maria Andrejczyk who holds the championship record with 71.40m from 2021.

The women's hammer (2.30pm on Sunday) could be a repeat of the Munich 2022 European Athletics Championships with all three medallists - Bianca Ghelber from Romania, Poland's Ewa Rozanska and Italy's Sara Fantini - due to compete along with Finland's reigning European U23 champion Silja Kosonen.
