The IAAF Regional Development Centre in Moscow will organise a training camp for young athletes and their coaches in the Russian capital from 23 February to 8 March.

The RDC will pay accommodation and food costs for one athlete and one coach per EAA Member Federation. Federations may send additional participants at their own expense.

The “Joint Sports Project”, which has been staged annually since 2001, is open to participants from all European countries. In 2005 more than 40 athletes and 20 coaches from 16 countries took part.

In addition to group training, participants will be offered master classes from top coaches and athletes and three competition opportunities – the Eduard Grigorian Memorial (26 February), the Vladimir Dyachkov & Nikolai Ozolin Memoral (1 March) and a Challenge Cup staged in conjunction with the Russia vs Baltic States Junior Match (6-7 March). The Challenge Cup will be held in the same venue that will be used the following week for the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Athletics.

Supporters of the Joint Sports Project include the All Russia Athletic Federation, the Moscow City Sports Association and the Russian Federal Agency for Physical Culture and Sport.
