The volunteer registration process for the second multi-sport European Championships in Munich, Germany from 11-21 August has started and remains open until the end of August.
More than 4700 athletes will compete across nine sports with the athletics programme taking place in the city’s iconic Olympic Stadium from 15-21 August - the out-of-stadia events will take place in the heart of the city - during the summer of the 50th anniversary of the Olympics Games in the German city and 20 years after Munich staged the 2002 European Athletics Championships.
The European Championships Munich 2022 will unite the existing senior championships of nine of the continent’s leading sports ‘under one roof’ in Munich to create a must-watch, must-attend experience that elevates the champions of Europe.
An army of volunteers will be needed across 16 areas to ensure the smooth running of the championships. Prospective candidates will be able to choose their preferred areas and will be able to support the event from as little as a couple of days to the entirety of the championships.
Volunteers must be 18 or over as of 1 June 2022 and must be able to speak either German or English.
