<h2><strong>Over de Europese Kampioenschappen Atletiek Indoor</strong></h2><p>In 2025 worden de Europese Kampioenschappen Atletiek Indoor gehouden in Apeldoorn, Nederland van 6-9 maart. Met deze kampioenschappen wil de Koninklijke Nederlandse Atletiekunie niet alleen een nieuwe standaard neerzetten in kwaliteit en beleving, maar ook jong en oud inspireren.</p><p>Dat hebben we al eerder bewezen met de Europese Kampioenschappen Atletiek 2016 in Amsterdam. De Europese Kampioenschappen Atletiek Indoor creëert een bewustzijn van vitaliteit en sociale binding in Europa en zal worden omarmd door alle fans. We kijken er naar uit u te mogen verwelkomen in het Omnisport in Apeldoorn.</p><p>De ambitie is om onder het motto 'Moving People' een onvergetelijk en inspirerend evenement neer te zetten en de atletieksport verder te positioneren bij jong en oud.</p><p>'Mensen in beweging brengen is wat we nastreven met EICH2025. <p>Gelderland is a fantastic province when it comes to sports. For example the Giro d&rsquo;Italia started here in 2016 and the Track Cycling World Championships were also organised in Gelderland . The province has fantastic sports venues, with the National Olympic Training Center Papendal as the absolute highlight.</p>
<p>Gelderland has a lot to offer in terms of nature, history, culture and sports, among other things. There is plenty of activity in Gelderland all year round. A large number have a link to healthy movement, such as the Nijmegen Four Days Marches, the Zevenheuvelenloop and the Airborne Walking Tour.</p>

<p>Apeldoorn is one of the greenest cities in the Netherlands and among the largest municipalities in Gelderland. It is a mid-size city with a population of approximately 161,000. Apeldoorn has a charming and lively inner city and a young, sports-minded population.</p>
<p>The town is easily accessible by car (A1 motorway) and train. The proximity of large cities such as Utrecht (59 kilometre) and Amsterdam (75 kilometre) and its space and tranquillity make Apeldoorn one of the most popular cities in the Netherlands. The area mainly consists of woods and heath-lands and is a popular destination for tourism, in particular hiking and cycling.</p>
<p>The Dutch royal family has always had close ties with the city. Apeldoorn is home to the stately Loo Palace, the former summer residence of the Dutch royal family and nowadays a national museum. Apeldoorn is possibly the most athletic-minded city in the Netherlands.</p>
